As we find ourselves in the midst of fall, I can’t help but look back at the memories I’ve made this past summer. A standout moment towards the end of the season was attending and being apart of the Vignette Collective Summer Fest! This festival was an inclusion of arts in its various forms; art and craft vendors, poetry readings, film screenings, and live music all in one local festival organized by my dear friend Gabriella Grinwald-Alves
The mission of the Vignette Collective is to create spaces where empathy can grow, flourish, and be shared with the world; where documentarians, screenwriters, theatre artists, musicians and artists come together to create character-driven stories and spread empathy.
As a part of the festival I read three poems for the poetry series and sold jewelry alongside amazing local vendors. I caught the film “Ballet After Dark” by B. Monét and watched talented musicians like Olivia Bec!
I was so happy to be apart of this event and truly cannot wait to see more of the Vignette Collective! Make sure to check out their website VignetteCollective.com and follow them on social media @VignetteCollective.
